Job Description

As an Inspector, you'll have the responsibility of inspecting, identifying, and determining status of products being processed for repair or overhaul. What you'll do: Determine and document product configuration and modification status to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. Verify parts are clean and in acceptable condition to perform required inspections. Evaluate products for repairability and identify items that do not meet requirements. Record inspection results and maintain accurate inspection documentation. Generate documentation required for repair of unserviceable components. Inspect and identify parts through the Reduced to Spares (RTS) process. Support production by supervising trainees, cross-training team members, participating in process improvements, and maintaining safety standards. Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in the aircraft engine components repair industry. Must be able to provide documentation of at least 1 year or more of on-the-job training (OJT) specific to the duties performed in order to qualify for a Repairman Certificate in a short period of time. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for at least 25% of the shift Ability to sit for at least 50% of shift Desired Skills Must be able to demonstrate experience in using precision measuring tools. Knowledgeable in and ability to identify and interpret conditions on products that are the result of service operation. Ability to use and interpret publications used in the production process (graphs, charts, schematics, blueprints). Working knowledge of the functions and operation of the products being inspected. Working knowledge of production management computer system and other related internal control systems. Experience with RTS (Return to Service) on aircraft parts. Ability to sign off on 8130's by having a repairman certificate or A&P license.Benefits that make life better:
