About the Role As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of complex aerospace components by managing the First Article Inspection process. You will leverage your technical expertise in precision measurement and regulatory compliance to drive quality excellence and facilitate seamless customer approvals. Responsibilities Execute comprehensive First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) in strict accordance with AS9102 standards using DISCUS and NetInspect platforms. Validate that materials and processes align with complex engineering drawings, purchase orders, and customer-specific flow-down requirements. Perform rigorous dimensional and visual inspections on high-tolerance machined parts using advanced metrology tools such as CMM, optical comparators, and various precision hand gages. Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering and Operations teams to resolve technical discrepancies and ensure documentation accuracy. Manage the submission of Government Product Lot Testing (PLT), First Article Testing (FAT), and FAA Conformity reports to maintain regulatory compliance. Utilize ERP systems and Microsoft Office to track inspection progress and maintain detailed quality records. Required Skills High School Diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of hands-on inspection experience within an AS9100 or ISO9001 manufacturing environment. Demonstrated proficiency in completing
AS9102 FAIR
documentation using specialized software. Strong technical aptitude for operating a wide range of conventional and digital inspection equipment. Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 35 lbs and maintaining visual acuity standards (Ishihara/Jaeger). Must meet U.S. export control requirements (U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status). Preferred Skills Direct experience working with aerospace or military-grade hardware and documentation. Advanced proficiency in SAP or similar enterprise-level resource planning software. Proven track record of managing customer-facing quality portals and resolving technical inquiries.
