Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. • These position require access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency. Quality This position is part of the Quality Assurance and will be located onsite in New Port Richey, FL. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and overtime is routine. This position reports to the Quality Control Inspection Manager. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Perform final dimensional and visual inspections for all three Value Streams (Air, Hydraulics, Elements) and Receiving Inspection. This includes inspecting incoming parts to assure they carry approved documentation and certifications and that they meet Purchase Order requirements Performing in-process and final inspections to assure compliance with drawings, documentation and customer requirements, and performing inspections on complex, close tolerance machined parts and sub-assemblies with critical internal and external dimensions using all forms of conventional inspection equipment including CMM, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, optical comparator, height gauges, ring gauges, pin gauges, etc. Operate a CMM (Coordinate Measurement Machine) to inspect precision parts. Participate in Quality Problem Resolution including writing NC's (Non Conformances) and work closely with the Quality Engineer to implement Corrective Actions. The essential requirements of the job include: High School Diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED). At least two (2) years of inspection experience in an Aerospace, Military, or Machining Manufacturing
ISO9001/AS9100
environment and experience interpreting complex engineering part drawings and blue-print reading. Familiar with Aerospace Customer Flow Downs, problem solving techniques to implement containment and corrective actions, and able to work over-time and flexible hours to meet deliverable deadlines. Must have experience in computer skills in Microsoft Office, SAP and/or in an ERP System and have advanced skills using calipers, micrometers, height gages, comparator, oscilloscopes, vision systems and other precision instruments.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Requires the Ishihara's Test for Color Deficiency, and Jaeger Level 1 eye examinations per
PACS-PQ-0029
; at least 20/25 vision (with correction), and ability to see fine print, blueprint detail and view computer monitors for extended periods of time. Must be able to work with solvents, oils, and other chemicals as required. Bending, sitting, standing and twisting for long periods of time. Required to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
Lifting requirement:
