JOB DESCRIPTION
Federal Engineering and Testing, Inc., is currently looking for enthusiastic individuals that are dedicated to their work and would like to be part of our dynamic team as a Construction Field Engineering Technician. Our positions are perfect for individuals that believe in managing by objective and are self-starters. PAY $17
- $20 PER HOUR (BASED
ON EXPERIENCE
)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Field Technician duties range from performing Construction Materials Testing, Geotechnical Inspections, and performing Roof Testing & Inspections. These include but are not limited to: Concrete Testing, Compaction (Density) Testing, Pavement Monitoring, Construction Inspections, Soil Sampling, Concrete Coring, Site Monitoring, Roof Tile Uplift Testing, Fastener Withdrawal Testing, and other various construction materials testing procedures per standards and specifications.
DEAL BREAKERS
Must have a clean driving record (NO DUI's or suspensions) Must be fluent in English (reading and writing) Must live in the Broward/ Palm Beach County area or willing to relocate on your own. We do not provide or pay for relocation. Must have high school diploma.
TECHNICAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Must be able to lift 60 lbs. repeatedly.
- Basic Knowledge of hand tools.
- Must be able to use a smart phone.
- Must be able to use GPS to find your way around.
- Construction and/or engineering experience Preferred.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma Required
- Associates Degree Preferred
- Troxler or CPN Nuclear Gauge Safety Certificate Preferred
- American Concrete Institute (ACI) Certification Preferred
- CTQP Concrete Field Tech Level 1 Certification Preferred
- OSHA Certification Preferred
