JOB DESCRIPTION
Interview:
Onsite interview- Site not temperature control
- Safety shoes required; additional PPE will be provided. Training Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 p.m. (can take up to 3 weeks). After training 6:00 pm to 6:00 am rotating shift (2-2-3 schedule)
- shift differential once resource moves to night after training.
Quality Control Technician:
The QC Technician plays a vital role throughout the many stages of production. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented and have strong problem-solving skills. Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned.- Work side by side with production in order to perform quality process checks and evaluate the effectiveness of quality checking equipment and procedures.
- Utilizes gauges and templates with other manufacturing aids to ensure that all product meets the established specifications for reliability and workmanship.
- Inspects and rechecks finished boards for color and embossing to required specification.
- Records factors causing material to be rejected.
- Troubleshoot product issues of tolerance with the operator.
- Measures and weighs raw material and product sample.
- Records product measurement daily.
- Backup for Machine Operator or any other area needed for breaks.
Requirements:
- High School/GED.
- One-year related experience.
- Must be able to work a 12-hour rotating shift.
- Strong Attention to detail and visual inspection skills.
- Good basic math, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand weights and measurement.
- Experience with calipers, micrometer and tape measure.
- Understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.
- Must have the ability to work in a team environment and maintain regular attendance.
- Must be able to work overtime as business needs dictate.
Work Environment:
- Indoor facility that is not air-conditioned or heated.
- Inside line work around loud equipment/machinery.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.- Frequent bending at the waist and neck; grasping (power & simple).
- Pushing/pulling; reaching above, at, and below shoulder level.
- Repetitive motion of the shoulders, arms, and hands.
- Lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Constant standing; twisting of the neck and waist; use of vision.
