Job Description

We are seeking a QC Laboratory Technician performs routine laboratory testing and quality checks to ensure products meet customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards. This role supports plant operations by monitoring product quality, assisting with process controls, and ensuring compliance with food safety programs
Salary:
$20-23 an hour
Location:
Port St. Lucie Key Responsibilities Perform routine testing, monitoring, and documentation of product quality results and process data Audit and verify process controls using digital systems (e.g., RedZone), including weight checks, batch records, receiving, and plant inspections Support production teams with quality-related questions and assist in resolving process variations Help adjust formulations as needed to meet customer requirements and product specifications Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment following standard procedures Maintain accurate and timely records, logs, and documentation Use ERP systems (such as AS400 and/or JDE) for quality-related functions and reporting Learn and understand processes related to oils, margarines, mayonnaise, dressings, and sauce production Follow all food safety policies, including GMPs, FSMA regulations, SQF standards, and internal quality systems Participate in hold programs and quality investigations as required Maintain effective communication with production, operations, and quality teams Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; additional technical or science coursework preferred 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment preferred Basic chemistry knowledge or training required Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Preferred Skills Experience in food manufacturing or quality control laboratory settings Familiarity with SQF, GMP, and FSMA standards Experience with ERP systems such as AS400 or JDE Understanding of food production processes such as emulsification, blending, or tempering #pro123
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
