The Quality Inspector is required be hands-on and spend extensive time on the manufacturing floor while following safety procedures, including but not limited to inspecting all incoming, in-process and final product. The position is classified as full-time, non-exempt, typically working Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m.•3:00 p.m. On a workload basis, this position may require additional scheduled days and hours. Job duties and responsibilities are below and include but are not limited to: Inspection of all materials incoming, in-process, and final product. Completion of inspection reports and other paperwork necessary for product quality assurance. Use of material handling equipment like lift hoists and forklifts Responsible for maintaining part traceability through the completion of various logs and part followers. Responsible for understanding the work order process, proper PPE use and other safety measures related to cranes, forklift, heat, and fire. In addition to inspection, this person will also be asked to support production in other ways including some material handling and shipping and receiving duties. High School Diploma or GED required. Technical certification or training in metallurgy, heat treatment, or aerospace manufacturing is preferred. Minimum 3 years' experience. Must be able to closely follow instructions and read documents. Must be able to communicate, verbally and written, with managers and coworkers. Must maintain quality practices and safety. Must be able to use Micrometers, Calipers, Tape Measures, Ultrasonic Thickness Gages, Gage Blocks, Depth Gages, Taper Gages Aerospace Specifications a plus Must be able to document validation results Forklift certified (or willing to become certified within 1 month of hire).
