Awkward Brewing is a small, community focused craft brewery built on great beer, genuine hospitality and just the right amount of awkward. Job Summary We are seeking a friendly, reliable Beertender / Taproom Associate, where your enthusiasm for craft beer and exceptional customer service will shine! In this energetic role, you'll be the friendly face welcoming guests, guiding them through our diverse beer selection, and creating memorable experiences. Your passion for brewing and hospitality will help foster a lively, engaging atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. This role is customer facing, hands on, and ideal for someone who enjoys hospitality, teamwork, and supporting a small brewery environment. Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Sales Greet guests warmly, providing a welcoming, inclusive taproom experience, as well as providing knowledgeable recommendations on our beer offerings and tap selections Pour and serve beer and other beverages accurately and responsibly Operate POS system, ensuring accurate cash/card transactions Make customers feel awkward... in all the best ways Taproom Operations & Cleanliness Maintain cleanliness and organization of the taproom, bar area, and serving stations in compliance with food safety standards Clean table, floors, and high touch surfaces throughout shift Perform end of shift cleaning, including restrooms Wash glassware and maintain bar equipment Support & Teamwork Assist with inventory management, restocking, glassware, and supplies to support brewing and taproom operations Help with events, tap releases, and busy service periods Communicate effectivey with team members and management Uphold responsible serving policies by monitoring guest consumption and adhering to alcohol service regulations Qualifications & Skills Must be 18 years of age or older Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances guest experiences Familiarity with Square POS system in order to process transactions accurately Strong time management skills to juggle multiple responsibilities efficiently during peak hours Ability to work evenings, weekends, and special events Ability to work longer shifts Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to ~40 lbs Responsible alcohol service mindset (training preferred; will train if needed) Craft beer interest or willingness to learn (experience a plus, not required) What We Offer Fun, supportive, community oriented work enviroment Competitive hourly pay plus tips Beer education and training Employee beer perks (because... obviously) Join us in creating an inviting space where craft beer enthusiasts gather!
