Job Description

Job Description This position is responsible for conducting in-process and final inspections of work performed by this repair station, including Non-Destructive Testing Level II. This person will also be responsible for departmental, administrative, and project work as directed by his/her immediate supervisor and/or executive management. Duties Conduct in-process inspections at the technicians' workbench to ensure compliance with current applicable manufacturer specifications and customer requests. Perform inspections of teardown and final assembly stages. Inspect incoming materials for conformity. Obtain NDT Level II Certification. Perform Internal Calibration of Shop Equipment. Maintain proficiency in precision measuring, including the use of a Coordinate Measuring Machine. Become proficient with Shipping and Work Order Control procedures. Ensure accuracy of all associated documentation, including individual shop evaluations, accomplished work records, rework cards (both internal and external), rejection tags, and test reports. Perform final inspection and authorize the return to service of all items processed by the repair station. Enforce and promote safety practices. Remain thoroughly familiar with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the Repair Station Manual/Quality System Manual (RSM/QSM). Document inspections, audits, prepare and finalize reports for management review. Assist in compiling Equivalency Documentation. Support Bench Technician duties when required, as determined by upper management. Perform component and piece part painting as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Airframe & Powerplant Certificate or Repairman's Certificate (preferred), or be willing to attain a Certificate within 18 months of hire. Basic knowledge of aircraft hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite. Basic knowledge of Repair Station Quality Systems and Maintenance Programs. Work effectively with internal and external customers. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. Must be able to pass an annual visual acuity screening (with corrective lenses if needed). Must be able to pass pre-employment and continuous, random
DOT / FAA
drug and alcohol testing.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed in an organized way with objectives without supervision. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
