Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and certified NDT Level III Aviation Quality Inspector specializing in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT). In this critical role, you will act as the resident technical expert and "Responsible Level III" for our non-destructive testing program. You will design, approve, and audit inspection processes, interpret complex technical data, and certify inspection personnel to ensure all aerospace components comply with strict safety standards, manufacturer specifications, and global aviation mandates. This job is on site in our LaGrange, GA facility. Job Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Procedure Development Develop, modify, and approve NDT method-specific procedures, techniques, and work instructions for MT and PT according to industry regulations. Select appropriate inspection methods and establish precise test parameters for complex aerospace parts, castings, and forged components. Serve as final arbiter for ambiguous or complex "accept/reject" inspection findings flagged by Level I and II inspectors. Training & Personnel Certification Manage the qualification and certification program for internal Level I and Level II technicians under NAS410 guidelines. Administer general, specific, and practical examinations to verify technician proficiency. Provide daily technical mentorship, oversight, and guidance to the quality inspection team. Compliance, Auditing & Quality Control Ensure full compliance with aviation quality frameworks including
AS9110, FAA
Part 21/145, and EASA mandates. Lead internal quality audits and serve as the primary subject matter expert during regulatory and customer inspections. Oversee equipment calibration and daily process checks for magnetic benches, black lights, and penetrant lines to maintain baseline test accuracy. Required Experience / Qualifications Current Level III NDT Certification in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) issued by ASNT or certified to NAS410 standards. High School Diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering or materials science is preferred. FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license or Repairman's Certificate is a strong asset. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of active quality inspection experience within an aerospace manufacturing or MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) environment. Pass mandatory vision exams (Jaeger 1 and color perception) per NAS410/regulatory requirements.
