Job Description

Job Summary :
Quality Technicians are responsible for conducting testing and inspections of materials and finished products to ensure compliance with company specifications and quality standards. This role supports manufacturing operations by identifying quality issues, documenting results, and assisting with corrective actions to maintain product consistency and customer satisfaction.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform inspections on materials and finished products to verify conformance to specifications and customer requirements Collect and record quality data Develop and maintain inspection and audit reports Perform laboratory testing on materials and finished products according to established procedures and test methods Prepare samples and accurately record test data and results Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and testing instruments Maintain organized laboratory records and ensure traceability of test data Approve or reject product based on established acceptance criteria Identify and document nonconforming materials or products Assist with containment activities and segregation of suspect material when quality issues are identified Communicate quality and compliance concerns with urgency Participate in audits, quality checks, and process verification activities Assist in root cause investigations and corrective action activities Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and process control Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lab and quality inspection areas Serve as a subject matter expert Adhere to established safety protocols Other jobs as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies Ability to follow written procedures and standardized work instructions Basic understanding of quality systems and inspection techniques Strong communication and organizational skills Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment General computer skills including Microsoft Excel and data entry
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required 5+ years related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to reach, stoop, bend, carry, and manipulate various items Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently Ability to distinguish colors and visual defects accurately
Schedule:
Abilitity to travel to Washington, Iowa for training Mon-Thurs 7:00a - 7:00p May move to a 2-2-3 rotation in the future
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
