QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN
2nd Shift, M-F $20+/hr The QA Technician monitors, documents and notifies all Food Safety/Quality and Food Security aspects of Juice Processing, packaging stores, Facility and Personnel to ensure that GMPs, food regulatory and product specifications are met. Quality Assurance Technician:
Ensure that the company and our customers Food Safety and Product Quality standards are recognized, maintained and improved. Product testing at all stages of Processing and Packaging Lab equipment operations, maintenance and calibration Plant, Processing, Equipment Sanitation Monitoring and Notification Sanitation CIP and documentation according to schedule with notifications of deviations Monitor scheduled titrations to check chemical levels for CIP cleaning and sanitizing compounds Auditing, documenting with notification of facility sanitation & GMPs Plant, Processing, and Equipment monitoring all normal Production functions with documentation. Processing incoming raw materials (including juice concentrates, cleaning chemicals and incoming water, etc.) Sampling, Brix, Color, Acidity, Microbiological, flavor, Receipt documentation and data recording, exception notification - WIP- monitor and document Brix, Color, Flavor, Micro, Processing parameters including CIP, Pasteurization records, cooler temperatures, product temperature, acid (titration), release for packaging Work with finished goods packaging and date codes, sampling, leak detection, product brix, micro, color, and flavor
Requirements:
Written and verbal communication skills Microsoft Word and Excel experience Food Quality Control or similar (chemical, Pharma) laboratory experience Ability to stand and walk for entirety of shift, lift up to 50 pounds and climb stairs Independent and motivated personality to be able to perform tasks with minimal supervision Experience and License Requirements Food Quality Control Lab work (optional) Microsoft Excel (optional) Microsoft Word (optional)
