Job Description

GELITA USA, Inc. is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Quality Assurance Specialist . The Quality Assurance Specialist supports the day-to-day Quality Assurance (QA) operations to ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for providing support to all daily Quality Assurance activities including but not limited to the following: Handle customer quality correspondence, including completion of customer questionnaires, documentation requests, and Letters of Guarantee. Maintain document control within the Consense system for GELITA USA and oversee retention of quality-related records for designated production facilities. Support assigned production plants with Quality Assurance activities, including non-conforming product investigations, internal and external audits, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) inspections, and other compliance initiatives. Serve as a backup for product release activities, ensuring products meet established quality standards before distribution. Coordinate and support the facility pest control program. Perform quality inspections on returned products and other materials requiring QA evaluation. Review production and quality records and conduct HACCP inspections for designated facilities to ensure compliance with food safety requirements. Coordinate and deliver annual Quality Assurance training and onboarding training for new employees. Provide support to the Senior QA Specialist, Audit & Compliance Specialist, and QA Manager on quality, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, Microbiology, or another technical or scientific discipline preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a Quality Assurance.
Skills & Capabilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization. Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work. Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities. Sound judgement involving Quality and Food Safety related decisions that balances alignment with standards/governing expectations, risk based approach, and business functionality Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing effectively as a collaborative team member. Demonstrated professionalism, initiative, and a commitment to maintaining high quality and compliance standards.
