Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated Aggregate Quality Control Technician/ Quality Control Manager to join our construction materials testing team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and ensuring the quality of aggregates used in various construction projects. Your expertise will help maintain compliance with industry standards and project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, develop technical skills, and collaborate with a dynamic team dedicated to excellence in construction quality assurance. You will be working from a newly constructed Lab Located in Sandpoint, ID at our Headquarters. Duties Conduct field inspections and laboratory tests on aggregates to verify compliance with ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials), AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials), and ACI (American Concrete Institute) standards. Collect and analyze data related to aggregate properties such as gradation, moisture content, sand equivalent, fracture, etc. Must be WAQTC Certified with a minimum of 5 years of experience. Maintain accurate records of test results, inspection reports, and data logs using Microsoft Office tools for documentation and reporting purposes. Assist in the inspection of construction sites to monitor material placement, quality control processes. Collaborate with plant managers, contractors, and clients to communicate findings clearly and ensure quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle. Support ongoing training on construction materials inspection techniques and industry standards to stay current with best practices. Skills Laboratory experience in construction materials testing. WAQTC Certified. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook for data entry and report generation. Knowledge of ASTM standards, AASHTO standards, and ACI guidelines relevant to aggregate testing. Construction site experience with an emphasis on quality control and inspection procedures. Excellent analysis skills combined with basic math proficiency for accurate data collection and interpretation. Ability to perform outdoor work in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards. Effective communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration. Technical proficiency in construction materials inspection tools and testing equipment.
