Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Quality & Continuous Improvement Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for performing titrations, maintaining calibration and testing systems, monitoring production quality, and assisting in process improvements. The technician also provides hands-on support to production operations when needed to ensure efficient workflow and consistent product quality. Your proactive approach will support compliance with industry standards while fostering a culture of quality and continuous growth. Duties Quality Control & Testing
- Perform regular chemical titrations on chrome, nickel, and other plating solutions to ensure proper bath composition.
- Maintain accurate records of titration results and communicate required adjustments to production teams
- Monitor product quality through visual inspection, measurement, and functional testing
- Conduct chemical analysis and support troubleshooting efforts related to plating baths or finishing processes
- Assist in managing lab equipment and maintaining a clean, organized testing environment Calibration & Documentation
- Manage and maintain the company's calibration system for gauges, meters, and measuring devices
- Track calibration due dates, coordinate external calibration services, and ensure proper documentation
- Maintain accurate quality records in accordance with customer requirements and internal procedures
- Update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, quality check sheets, and other documentation Continuous Improvement
- Support process improvement efforts to increase consistency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity
- Assist with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive action programs
- Participate in plant audits and continuous improvement meetings
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends, deviations, or improvement opportunities Production Support
- Operate production equipment as needed to support workflow and meet customer delivery requirements
- Assist operators with setup, quality checks, and process adjustments
- Provide cross-functional support during peak production periods or staffing gaps Qualifications
- Experience in metal finishing, plating, quality control, or laboratory testing
- Knowledge of chemical handling, titration methods, and measurement systems
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to analyze results, identify issues, and propose corrective actions
- Comfortable working in a production environment and operating equipment
- Basic understanding of continuous improvement tools (5S, root cause analysis, PDCA, etc.
