Job Description

Quality Control Inspector Location:
Bedford Park, IL Schedule:
6am-3:30pm
Mondau-Friday Pay:
$24-$26/hr Position Summary Trova Advisory Group is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector for a growing manufacturing organization. This role is responsible for conducting in-process and final inspections of armored vehicles, fabricated components, and assemblies to ensure products meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and internal quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing quality inspection, blueprint reading, precision measurement tools, and ISO-compliant environments. Essential Responsibilities Conduct in-process inspections of armored vehicles, verifying sub-assembly installation and final weld quality to ensure compliance with customer requirements and internal standards. Document armored vehicles through photographs and videos for internal records and remote customer inspections. Perform in-process inspections of fabricated parts, including bends, welds, assemblies, and finished products to verify compliance with specifications and assembly drawings. Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, fabrication progress, and completed assemblies. Maintain traceability documentation for armor plate heat lots and ballistic testing materials. Provide visual aids, work instructions, and assembly guidance to support production teams. Assist in identifying opportunities to reduce errors, improve workflow efficiency, and increase throughput. Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to resolve quality concerns and improve processes. Report quality metrics, inspection findings, and production results to management. Ensure compliance with
ISO 9001
2015 standards, company quality policies, and established procedures. Identify, document, and communicate non-conforming materials, products, and processes. Qualifications Previous experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Inspection, or a related field. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications. Experience performing first-piece, in-process, and final inspections. Proficient with precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, protractors, and other inspection tools. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Experience working within ISO-compliant manufacturing environments preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally to resolve non-conformances. Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance. Preferred Qualifications Experience within metal fabrication, welding, automotive, defense, or heavy manufacturing environments. Knowledge of quality management systems and ISO standards.
