As a leader in fineblanking, conventional stamping and plastic injection molding, Principal Manufacturing sets itself above the competition. The Quality Inspector will inspect products manufactured in-hour or processed by outside processors to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
Responsibilities:
Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, and work for conformance to specifications. Observe and monitor production operations and equipment to ensure conformance to specifications and make or order necessary process or assembly adjustments. Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems. Record inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded. Updates and enters Quality Department's data into Plex. Process blueprints through the entire Department. Follow all company safety rules and IATF requirements and maintain work area within the lean guidelines. Assist in training of operators on proper use of inspection equipment and inspection techniques, monitoring/auditing inspection activities and documenting results.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent Education/Certification. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Knowledge of EPR system. Understanding of SAE and metrics (basic metrology skills). Good computer skills i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook Must be able to multi-task under high pressure environment. Bilingual in English/Spanish.
