Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that products meet stringent quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. This position involves performing precise inspections, analyzing measurement data, and supporting quality assurance processes across production lines. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with advanced measurement instruments, and a thorough understanding of quality systems such as
ISO 9001, ISO
13485, and GMP standards. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining product integrity, enhancing process efficiency, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This position is available for the Second Shift which is typically 2:30-11pm. Duties Perform x-ray inspections on products to verify quality and identify defects. Conduct dimensional and visual inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify product conformity. Perform quality audits in accordance with
ISO 9001, ISO
13485, and FDA regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards and legal requirements. Utilize vision inspection systems and other advanced inspection tools to identify defects or deviations in manufactured components. Interpret manufacturing drawings, mechanical blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications to accurately assess product quality. Collect and analyze data related to quality metrics; prepare detailed reports for management review. Support calibration activities for measuring instruments to maintain accuracy and reliability. Assist in implementing quality management systems (QMS) such as QA/QC procedures, HACCP protocols, and CGMP guidelines. Participate in root cause analysis for non-conformances; recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Collaborate with production teams to ensure adherence to quality standards during manufacturing processes. Maintain meticulous records of inspections, measurements, and audit findings for traceability. Experience Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of
ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP, FDA
regulations, and related regulatory/legal compliance standards. Hands-on experience with measurement instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), vision inspection systems, and other precision tools. Familiarity with calibration procedures for measuring devices and understanding of GD&T principles. Mechanical knowledge sufficient to interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings accurately. Experience conducting quality audits and analyzing data to identify process improvements. Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and data analysis. Ability to interpret production documents and ensure compliance with quality standards in production settings. Strong analytical skills combined with attention to detail; capable of troubleshooting issues effectively. Knowledge of Calypso software or similar quality management systems is advantageous but not mandatory. Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
