Job Description
Job Title:
Quality TechnicianJob Description We are seeking a Quality Technician who will be responsible for the inspection of various metal parts. The candidate will utilize tools such as micrometers, calipers, and comparators, and will be trained to program and use a CMM machine for inspections. The role involves taking parts from production and running them through the quality assurance process, with a focus on documentation and inspection. Responsibilities
+ Inspect metal parts using micrometers, calipers, and comparators.
+ Program and operate a CMM machine for inspection.
+ Conduct visual inspections and document findings.
+ Perform quality control processes and ensure compliance with tolerances and dimensions.
+ Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
+ Execute internal audits and adhere to ISO standards.
+ Complete general duties such as cleaning the work area and filing paperwork. Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers.
+ Strong ability to read blueprints and a solid understanding of mathematics.
+ Knowledge of GD&T and quality control processes.
+ Experience with internal auditing and quality assurance standards.
+ Technical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is a plus.
+ Compliance with ITAR regulations. Work Environment The position is for the 1st shift, from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with flexibility for later start times and opportunities for overtime. You will be working in a smaller company of 50-60 employees, in a small office adjacent to the manufacturing floor, requiring occasional floor walks to collect finished products. The company specializes in aerospace parts and government contracts. The dress code includes jeans, a work shirt, and steel-toed shoes. Benefits include a 401K plan with a 4% match and paid benefits. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
