Job Description

Position Summary Hard working and enthusiastic team member with a good eye for detail. Will be responsible for performing standardized quality checks on our products to ensure that they meet our standards for safety and quality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform QC inspection support throughout the fabrication, picking, packing, and shipping in the receiving, WIP and /or final inspections and audits to specified requirements in a timely and accurate manner to assist the Quality Manager in providing concise, useful, and unambiguous reports. Perform End of line inspections. Read and apply company and customer prints and specifications as the quality criteria during inspections. Interface with others internally and external to the company and communicate quality problems in a professional and effective manner. Be guided in daily workload promptly and effectively. Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE
High school diploma/GED or more. 0-2 years' experience / basic knowledge of fabrication techniques including welding, CNC, forming, assembly, coating, and warehousing. Must work effectively and independently, be well organized, and detail oriented. Must interface with all departments in a professional manner. Basic knowledge of good inspection techniques and equipment i.e., micrometers, calipers, gages. Must have mechanical ability, an eye for abnormalities, and aptitude for detail. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints. Experience working in an
ISO 9001
2015 environment. Knowledge of internal auditing, PPAP, control plans, and PFMEA is desired but not required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write routine reports in a professional manner.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole, fractional, and decimal numbers. Basic geometry and trigonometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Apply common sense understanding to conduct instructions furnished in written or oral form. Handle problems involving variables in a standardized situation. Ability to make decisions and know when/where to make concessions.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Previous experience navigating and utilizing an ERP system.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

EQUIPMENT and TOOLS:
Angle roll, horizontal roll, plate roll, vertical and horizontal band saw and press brake. De-burring equipment, forklift. Calipers, micrometers, radius gauges, tape measure, set up charts, templates.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee works in the office of a manufacturing plant environment with normal exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with working in a high traffic, heavy machinery, manufacturing plant. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 AM - 5 PM (may vary by area in department). Job requires overtime. Work hours may change at Management's discretion with prior notice.
