We're seeking an experienced Zeiss CMM Programmer to join our dynamic team, supporting high-stakes aerospace and defense machining operations. In this pivotal role, you will develop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs for complex components, ensuring every part meets rigorous industry standards and customer specifications. Collaborate closely with Engineering and Quality teams to maintain the highest levels of dimensional accuracy and process integrity, contributing to top-tier product quality and continuous improvement initiatives. What You Bring to the
Table:
Proven expertise in programming Zeiss CMMs, with extensive experience using Calypso software. Strong knowledge of GD&T, interpreting 3D CAD models, and engineering drawings to create precise measurement strategies. Track record of leading First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 standards. Proficiency in analyzing dimensional reports through Calypso, PiWeb, QDAS, or QC-CALC. Hands-on experience inspecting castings and forgings to tight tolerances, ensuring quality in high-precision environments. Ability to troubleshoot measurement issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions. Familiarity with Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and continuous process improvement techniques. Nice to
Have Skills:
Experience working with SolidWorks, STP, IGES files, or similar CAD data. Additional certifications or training in aerospace quality standards. Exposure to other CMM brands or inspection tools.
Preferred Education and Experience:
An associate's or bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferable; however, equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered. At least 5 years of programming CMMs in aerospace or precision machining settings.
Other Requirements:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on detail and accuracy. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork across departments.
