Job Description

DUTIES:
Work within the Quality Control Team to provide support for Production Staff. Responsible for interpreting and understanding customer or internally generated drawings for inspection of product. Blueprint reading is a must. Deep understanding of standard/metric conversions. Ability to read both a standard and metric tape measure is a must. Knowledge of
AWS D1.1
Standards - including the ability to read weld symbols. Ability to identify welding defects both visually, and through use of inspection tools such as weld fillet gages, V-WAC gage, etc. Ability to create inspection reports and initiate corrective actions when required. Ability to use a variety of inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, thread gages, etc. Knowledge of standard types of quality documentation (i.e. PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, etc.) preferred. Strong computer skills are required. Requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Interact with all departments concerning manufacturing, customer, and supplier quality issues. Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), preferred, but not required. CWI or NDT experience a plus!

High School Diploma/GED; Relevant work experience; Some technical training preferred.
