Job Title:
Quality Inspector Job Description As a Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the precision and conformity of products through detailed inspections and measurements. You will utilize your expertise in metrology and measurement techniques to perform various inspection duties independently. Responsibilities Conduct inspections using precision measurement equipment and devices. Apply GD&T techniques to complete inspection activities. Run product on CMMs, interpret results, and determine product conformity. Write programs for CMM based on parts and specification drawings. Summarize quality control data and report results to management. Document nonconforming products according to company directives. Perform AS9102 First Article Inspections and complete related documentation. Utilize basic statistical techniques for evaluation of measurement data and trending. Understand machining processes to effectively communicate findings to the production floor. Write programs for video measurement equipment based on parts and specification drawings. Drive safety practices within the organization. Perform all other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Strong working knowledge of metrology and measurement techniques. Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, optical comparators, gauge pins, gauge blocks, and other inspection equipment. Ability to work independently without supervisory input. Experience in applying GD&T techniques. Ability to run product on CMMs and interpret results. Basic understanding of machining processes. High School diploma required. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with CMM and Zeiss Calypso. Quality inspection skills. Some technical-related training. Must be a US person. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work hours are flexible, with options for a 1st shift from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, or a 2nd shift from Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 AM. The environment emphasizes precision and accuracy, using advanced inspection technologies such as CMMs and video measurement equipment. Safety practices are paramount, ensuring a secure and supportive workplace. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Libertyville, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
