ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
We are looking for a self-driven Quality Technician interested in developing skills and experience in the quality field. Duties below are in collaboration with other Quality Technicians on site or in other ITW Shakeproof facilities as needed. Maintain Gage Calibration System Maintain and sustain the Gage Calibration Program ensuring the integrity of the system and reporting any findings through the proper channels. Minor on-site gage maintenance and repair. Order new gages as needed. Maintain inventory of gages. Assist in determining gaging needs based on existing and future product. Train employees on proper gage usage. Non-Conformances / Corrective Actions Maintain the facility MRB area and facilitate daily MRB meeting. Participate in the root cause analysis and effective corrective actions for internal and external non-conformances as requested. Review and track all internal quality concerns related to job responsibilities. Assist in maintaining and updating items within the quality database with the required information. Ensure timely response and closure of nonconformances and corrective actions. Product Inspection Maintain laboratory facility by auditing processes, cleaning and disposing of laboratory used equipment, and maintaining inventory on supplies and items used for testing. Perform final and in-process inspection and document results using gages, precision measuring devices and visual inspection as and where needed. Facilitate programming of precision measuring devices (Keyence). Grain Flow Lab Complete grain flow inspections for all required parts to meet customer specific requirements. Maintain grain flow log and photographic evidence. Adhere to all safety and PPE requirements when performing grain flow. Maintain safe, organized, and clean workspace. Involvement in maintaining and improving performance to quality management system metrics and related issues. Involvement in the development and continuous improvement of the company's quality management system. Collect information from operations and production to maintain analytics regarding equipment and operator efficiency. Provide support for manufacturing, sales, and other quality personnel as needed. Perform internal audits and LPAs as scheduled. Adhere to all safety and PPE requirements. Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
: High School Diploma required; Technical School, or associate's degree preferred. Prior experience in quality-related, or automotive business preferred. Knowledge of
ISO 16949
2016 or
ISO 9001
2015 preferred. Microsoft Office proficiency. Continuous Improvement mindset. Strong attention to detail, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, prints, and procedure manuals. Ability to use and read metrology equipment such as micrometer, caliper, and comparator. Understanding and compliance with safety rules and regulations. Ability to perform moderate physical activity, including occasional lifting, walking, standing, bending. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
