Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician / Inspector to ensure products meet established quality standards and customer requirements. This role is responsible for inspecting materials, components, and finished products; documenting inspection results; identifying nonconformances; and supporting continuous improvement efforts throughout the manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of products and materials. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Proficiently Operate Zeiss CMM and Calypso software to ensure accurate product measurements and compliance with quality standards. Proficiently Operate a Keyence CMM Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection equipment. Perform product inspections and testing to meet customer and Rusco Mfg quality specifications, generating quality docuements such as inspection reports, certificates of conformance, and material certification packets for customers. Identify, document, and report nonconforming materials or products. Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions. Support internal audits and quality system compliance activities. Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards. Maintain calibration records and ensure inspection equipment is properly maintained. Collaborate with production, engineering, and management teams to resolve quality issues. Support the scrap/re-work process for discrepant products, ensuring proper documentation and corrective action implementation
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED. 2+ of experience with CMM operation ( Zeiss hardware and Calypso software ) 1-3 years of quality inspection or manufacturing experience. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Experience using precision measurement tools. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Capable of using measuring instruments, i.e. micrometer, calipers, gages, etc Preferred Education and Experience Associate degree in a technical field. Experience with
ISO 9001, IATF
16949, or similar quality systems. Knowledge of SPC, GD&T, and root cause analysis methods. Quality certifications such as CQI, CQT, or related credentials. Proficient use of Coordinating Measuring Machine (CMM), optical comparators and other tools and equipment used to inspect Prior Experience in gage calibration and maintenance, with ability to manage and oversee related processes. Understanding and application of SPC technicques. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout a manufacturing environment. Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Compensation Pay Range:
$20 - $24 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
