Job Description
Job description: North Bay Produce is a produce cooperative located in Mascoutah, IL; based in Traverse City, MI. We have growers located throughout North and South America. We supply produce to major grocers throughout the US, Canada, Europe, and Asian markets. The Mascoutah Warehouse is next to the Mid America Airport and is responsible for both packaging and distribution operations. Our Quality Control team are vital for ensuring all produce we distribute meets both our criteria and USDA regulations. Every load we receive must be examined by our Quality Control inspectors before any further operation can be conducted. No prior experience is required; we will provide all training that is needed. Must be able to work in cold environments as our facility maintains 36° Fahrenheit. North Bay Produce is experiencing unprecedented growth warranting promotions and open positions. We have a Night shift Quality position available. The night shift positions work Tues thru Sat night starting at 10pm. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ability to work Nights reliably Data entry into excel Inspect and grade the quality of Produce Communicate any deviations with team members Conduct periodic inspections of product being stored Verify quantities & commodities for loads Special projects as requested Skills Working knowledge of MS Excel and other computer programs Basic math and recording abilities Understanding of computer folder navigation Keen eye for detail
