Job Description

Production Inspector G&W Electric Co., a global leader in power grid solutions, is seeking a Production Inspector to ensure the quality of electrical components and assemblies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Production Inspector will perform in-process and final inspections using measuring tools, review documentation against standards, record results, and escalate nonconformances. This role partners closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to support continuous improvement, safety, and customer requirements. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, familiar with quality systems, and committed to precision and reliability. Perform in-process and final inspections on electrical and mechanical components and assemblies Interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructions to verify product conformance Use precision measurement tools to validate critical dimensions and tolerances Document inspection results, maintain quality records, and update production systems Identify, document, and escalate nonconformances to quality and production leads Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality to resolve issues and support corrective actions Follow all safety, EHS, and 5S standards within the manufacturing environment Support continuous improvement activities and suggest quality enhancements Mechanical inspection Electrical component inspection Blueprint and schematic reading Use of calipers, micrometers, gauges Quality control and assurance ISO/quality system documentation Nonconformance reporting Root cause and corrective action support Data entry and inspection reporting Safety and EHS compliance Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
