This position serves as the technical expert for metrology, CMM programming, measurement system analysis, product inspections, and control of non-conforming materials. The role supports production, quality, and engineering teams by ensuring compliance with customer requirements, internal standards, and quality management system requirements. Responsibilities Quality Inspection & Product Verification Perform visual, manual, and electronic inspections of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products. Conduct first-piece, in-process, final, and outgoing inspections to verify conformance to specifications. Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation and electronic records. Ensure non-conforming materials are identified, segregated, labeled, and contained according to established procedures. Coordinate disposition, rework, sorting, and containment activities when quality issues are identified. Verify product labels, packaging, and shipping documentation for compliance with requirements. Generate daily inspection reports and effectively communicate quality concerns between shifts. Support continuous improvement activities and recommend process enhancements. Maintain workplace organization and housekeeping in accordance with 5S principles Quality Assurance & Problem Solving Support investigations of customer complaints, internal defects, and quality system non-conformances. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities. Verify effectiveness of corrective actions and containment measures. Support APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Process Flow, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, and 8D activities. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve process capability and product quality Create, validate, and maintain CMM programs using Mitutoyo, OGP, Zeiss, or comparable systems. Perform dimensional inspections of products, tooling, fixtures, and components throughout the product lifecycle. Analyze measurement data and provide recommendations for decision-making. Conduct capability studies, Gage R&R studies, and measurement system evaluations. Control inspection, measuring, and test equipment, including calibration programs and records. Coordinate calibration, maintenance, and external measurement services with approved vendors. Develop and modify inspection plans and control plans in collaboration with Quality and Manufacturing Engineers. Train and mentor employees on measurement equipment, inspection techniques, SPC, MSA, and GD&T principles.
