Quality Assurance Technician

Our client, a national distribution company, is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Technician in Wilmington, Illinois . This position is ideal for someone with strong food manufacturing, processing, or distribution experience. The role involves supporting quality checks, product inspections, production records, and compliance standards throughout the facility.

The Day-to-Day:

Perform individual and group projects assigned by the QA Manager. Collect ingredient samples and conduct quality checks during production. Assist with maintaining accurate production and quality records. Inspect incoming and outgoing trucks according to shipping and receiving procedures. Perform timely quality checks on incoming raw materials, packaging components, finished products, and labels. Report process errors, product failures, deviations, or quality concerns as they occur. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 5 to 7 years of experience in food manufacturing, processing, or distribution required. PCQI and HACCP certification preferred. Ability to lift 25 to 50 lbs. on occasion. Must be able to travel up to 5% of the time.

Pay Rate:

$21.00 to $25.00 per hour
