Job Description

Job Overview The Quality Technician is responsible for support and managing all audit and report functions of the Quality Management System. This position works with internal customers across departments. Duties and Responsibilities Follows all processes, practices, and program elements of the QMS. Identifies, researches, and reports various problems and opportunities while supporting Operations. Effectively communicates to associates, leadership, shipping, and sales as required. Conducts audits of standing in process checks from line QCs including secondary in-process tests and checks and post-production tests. Conducts disposition review of non-conformance and RMA material and goods. Audits to ensure Quality Alerts are followed. Initiates Internal Corrective Actions Initiates NCDR against vendors Engages in First Articles of Inspection (FAI) for new products Training new associates. Develops written quality instructions, support materials, alerts, or communications in English. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Detail-oriented Ability to follow and give written and verbal instructions. Ability to work in a team. High degree of independent problem-solving abilities. Organized, analytical thinker, and problem solver. Ability to read a tape measure and understand basic math. Ability to multitask and flex with shifting priorities. Education and Experience Experience in the lumber or lamination industry preferred. One of more years of quality experience within a manufacturing industry. Two years' related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience; required. Basic computer skills. One or more years of leadership experience preferred
