Quality Manager Job Summary:
The Quality Technician will be responsible for conducting physical inspections of metal fabricated products and managing document control processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform physical inspections of metal fabricated products to verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall quality. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to conduct inspections. Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of quality checks. Identify and report non-conformances and work with production teams to implement corrective actions. Manage and maintain document control systems, ensuring all quality documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible. Review and approve quality-related documents, including inspection reports, certificates of compliance, and material test reports. Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and standards. Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO and other relevant standards. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address quality issues and improve processes. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in quality control or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality inspection and document control, preferably in a metal fabrication environment. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and inspection tools. Strong understanding of quality control principles and practices. Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems. Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
