Shift:

1st Shift 7am - 4:30pm or 3rd Shift 8pm - 5am

Responsibilities:

Maintain laboratory and quality records for all products that are tested. Record all test results in an accurate and timely manner. Manage product retain library. Create & manage products and raw material COA's. Collect samples and perform product testing in a timely manner. Responsible for coordinating with Operations for quality problems and to ensure compliance with FDA, SQF and other relevant authorities and standards. Responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues to Operations leadership on site. Maintains knowledge of customer specifications and requirements and communicates this with operations. Ensures that all products shipped meet required customer specifications or other requirements. Ensures that incoming raw materials, chemicals, and processing aids are evaluated and meet food safety requirements. Responsible for pulling customer samples when requested. Works with Operations to monitor & minimize any quality and/or food safety risks. Understanding of the SQF Food Safety Code and of the facility HACCP plan. Effective communication skills, sound judgment, and effective decision-making required. Performs other duties as directed by the Quality and/or Operations leadership. Must be willing to obtain HACCP certification.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work in all inclement weather. Be able to climb; including rail cars. Must be adaptable to heights. Walk the plant floor. Standing for extended periods of time Bending over, twisting, reaching

Education:

Pay:

$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
