Job Description

Quality Inspector responsible for in-process and final inspection of manufactured components using blueprint, GD&T, visual inspection, dimensional gaging, and CMM-based inspection methods. Job Requirements 5+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints and GD&T. 5+ years of inspection gaging and visual inspection experience. 5+ years of manufacturing experience involving document control and job operations. Experience performing in-process and final inspections to engineering drawings and customer specifications. Experience using micrometers and test indicators. Experience using optical comparators. Experience using Faro Arm inspection equipment. Experience operating coordinate measuring machines (CMMs). Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for inspection documentation and reporting. Knowledge of AS9100 quality system requirements. Ability to pass a written examination covering blueprint reading, GD&T, and inspection methods. Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive hand and wrist movements. Ability to perform occasional bending and safely handle and position manufactured components. Availability to work weekend nights, Friday through Sunday, 5:00 PM-5:00 AM. Preferred Skills Aerospace manufacturing inspection experience. 2+ years of experience with coordinate measuring machines or measurement systems. Experience reviewing CMM reports. Experience with mold casting inspection methods. Experience identifying visual defects and UCVs. Experience with aerospace blueprint, GD&T, and inspection requirements. Job Responsibilities Perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured components. Verify components against engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and customer specifications. Operate micrometers, test indicators, Faro Arms, optical comparators, and CMM equipment. Perform dimensional and visual inspections. Create mold castings and interpret inspection results using optical comparator equipment. Conduct visual inspections for defects and UCVs. Complete dimensional inspection reports and related quality documentation. Review CMM inspection reports for compliance with applicable requirements. Maintain inspection documentation and document-control requirements. Verify manufacturing operations against applicable job documentation. Perform inspection activities in accordance with AS9100 quality system requirements.
