Automotive Seating Production Process Engineer Location:
Warsaw, IN Job Summary MS Companies is seeking a Quality Technician for a opportunity with an automotive manufacturing client. This position is responsible for supporting quality operations through inspection, containment, sorting, rework, and verification activities to ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in automotive manufacturing, quality inspection, or containment activities and possess a strong attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Perform visual and dimensional inspections of parts, components, and assemblies. Conduct containment activities to prevent non-conforming material from reaching the customer. Execute sorting and rework activities according to customer and internal quality requirements. Identify, document, and report quality concerns and defects. Support quality audits, inspections, and corrective action activities. Complete inspection records and maintain accurate quality documentation. Utilize measuring equipment and inspection tools to verify product conformity. Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to address quality issues. Ensure compliance with customer specifications, work instructions, and company procedures. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality and manufacturing processes. Maintain a safe and organized work environment. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in quality inspection, containment, sorting, or rework within a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret work instructions, quality standards, and engineering drawings. Experience using basic measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and rulers. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Basic computer and documentation skills. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift. Preferred Qualifications Automotive manufacturing experience. Experience with customer-specific quality requirements. Knowledge of quality systems and inspection methodologies. Familiarity with root cause analysis and corrective action processes. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds as needed. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and perform repetitive inspection activities.
