We are seeking dedicated individuals to join us as full-time, on-site team members at our new manufacturing facility located within the Panasonic Energy of North America Gigafactory in De Soto, Kansas. Soode Kansas Corporation is fully owned by Alconix Corporation, a company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market. Our Kansas operation manufactures and supplies precision top-cap components for lithium-ion battery cells used by Panasonic Energy. As a growing manufacturing operation, we are looking for team members who are excited to take on new challenges, comfortable learning new processes, and flexible when unexpected situations arise in a start-up environment. Quality Inspector - Precision Components The Quality Inspector - Precision Components is responsible for performing visual and dimensional inspections of small precision metal components to ensure products meet established quality specifications and standards. This is a technical quality role that requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to follow established inspection procedures.
Responsibilities:
Conduct visual inspections of small press components for surface defects, deformation, or other abnormalities. Perform dimensional measurements using various tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Record and report inspection results clearly and accurately. Identify non-conforming products and follow procedures for isolation and documentation. Use appropriate inspection and measurement tools as required. Follow established inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality standards. Accurately document inspection results and maintain required quality records. Separate or identify nonconforming products according to established procedures. Communicate quality concerns or inspection findings to the appropriate manager or team member. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all company safety, quality, and standard operating procedures.
Requirements:
Associate degree or higher in a STEM field, including Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics. One year of experience performing visual and/or dimensional inspection of small components. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify small defects or variations. Ability to follow technical instructions, inspection procedures, and quality standards. Accurately document inspection results. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a precision manufacturing environment. Computer skills for data entry and reporting. Willingness to learn and follow quality standards and procedures. Ability to concentrate and work accurately over extended periods. Previous experience in press component manufacturing is a plus.
Recent Graduate Pathway:
Recent graduates with an associate or bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field may also be considered without the one year of inspection experience if they are fluent in Japanese and able to receive technical training from our experienced manager from Japan.
Physical Qualification:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
