The Quality Assurance Inspector ensures that the final product observes the company's quality standards. In general, detail-oriented professional is responsible for the detection and resolution of problems and the delivery of satisfactory outcomes. Quality Standards will meet or exceed the Customers satisfaction. Interact in a professional manner with customers, co-workers and other trades.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain condition, functionality and use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times. Carefully maintain complaint and nonconformance processing through records and tracking systems, including root cause and corrective actions. Document quality assurance activities with internal reporting and audits. Develop new standards for production and design, with improvements as needed, and create testing protocols for implementation across all service lines. Plan, execute, and oversee inspection and testing of incoming and outgoing products to confirm quality conformance to specifications and quality deliverables. Develop or update company complaint and inspection procedures to ensure capture and investigation, as well as proper documentation of complaints. Perform inspection duties utilizing engineering drawings and orders, route cards, inspection travelers, work instructions, technical specifications, QA procedures and instructions, and other related documents. Perform preliminary and progressive inspections of fabrications, final inspections, and verify paperwork. Witness, verify, and document specified manufacturing process steps. Perform first article inspections to ensure conformity with approved procedures. Ensure the proper use and storage of area tools and equipment. Conduct work in a manner that enhances own/other employees' health and safety, product safety and promotes risk reduction. Participate openly in safety-related event investigations, immediately report workplace hazards and make suggestions for control. Cooperate and contribute toward the overall success of the Safety program at the local level. Perform area inspections to ensure compliance with applicable standards and specifications. Participate in continuous improvement activities. Working knowledge of shop mathematics, and blueprint reading and interpretation. Competent in the use of basic shop tools and equipment including but not limited to tape measures, digital and dial calipers, and angle gauges. Ability to conform to and manage quality documents. Physical Demands Standing, walking, bending, kneeling and/or sitting for long periods of time Climbing ladders to reach ceilings and other high objects Push/pull/lift/moving 50 pounds repeatedly Sitting long periods of time in front of computer monitor First shift: 6am-4:30pm; Monday-Thursday Second shift: 4pm-2:30am; Monday-ThursdaySimilar remote jobs
