Job Description:
Braun Intertec is seeking an experienced Construction Materials Lab Technician to join our Lenexa, KS office. As a technician, you will perform a variety of testing on construction materials such as soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt. Responsibilities- Receive and log concrete and soil samples along with additional testing as needed.
- Performs and understand various laboratory test procedures
- Assist in AMRL and CCRL (regulatory standards) assessments
- Assist with Braun Quality system for the laboratory
- Input and reduce laboratory test data in standard office format and file system.
- Maintain laboratory equipment in good operating condition.
- Other miscellaneous laboratory tasks as assigned Required Skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to learn how to perform less common but more complex geotechnically related laboratory tests.
- Ability to learn how to use the various lab management systems. Required Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record
- The ability to lift 50-75+ pounds
- MoDOT or KDOT HMA, MoDOT or KDOT Soils certifications are strongly preferred (ability to obtain within a year required) #LI-PD1 Braun Intertec is a Drug-Free Workplace and requires all new hires to complete a pre-employment drug screen test, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report.
