Job Title:
Quality Control Technician Job Description The Quality Control Technician ensures that products consistently meet defined quality standards by performing continuous testing and documentation throughout the assembly line. You will inspect each process step, verify measurements, and record results to maintain accuracy, reliability, and compliance with established procedures across all shifts. Responsibilities Perform continuous inspection and testing of products along the assembly line to verify that all quality standards are consistently met. Review each process step on the line regularly and document findings to ensure adherence to established procedures and specifications. Use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and calipers, to take accurate measurements of components and finished products. Record inspection results, measurements, and test data in an organized and timely manner using Microsoft Excel and related tools. Interpret and apply information from blueprints and technical drawings to confirm that products meet dimensional and functional requirements. Identify nonconforming products or processes and escalate issues according to established quality procedures. Maintain accurate, complete, and legible quality documentation to support traceability and continuous improvement efforts. Collaborate with production team members to communicate quality issues and support corrective actions on the assembly line. Follow all quality control protocols, work instructions, and safety guidelines while working in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment. Support ongoing audits and quality checks by providing clear documentation and measurement records when requested. Essential Skills Hands-on experience with inspection processes in a manufacturing or assembly line environment. Proficiency in using precision measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify product dimensions. Ability to perform accurate measurements and document results clearly and consistently. Experience working with Microsoft Excel for recording, organizing, and analyzing inspection and test data. Knowledge of quality standards and basic quality control principles within a production setting. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to verify product specifications. Familiarity with PLEX or similar manufacturing or quality management systems. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when inspecting parts and documenting findings. Ability to work assigned shift hours reliably from Monday through Friday. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience using PLEX software for tracking production and quality data. Demonstrated experience with inspection, measurement, and documentation in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Comfort working with digital tools and spreadsheets to maintain quality records. Ability to communicate clearly with production and quality team members regarding inspection results and issues. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple inspections and documentation tasks throughout the shift. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a climate-controlled manufacturing facility that maintains a comfortable temperature throughout the year. The role is based on a Monday through Friday schedule with three available shifts: first shift from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., second shift from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., and third shift from 12:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. You will work on or near an assembly line, using precision measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers, and leveraging Microsoft Excel and PLEX software for documentation and data entry. The position is a direct placement opportunity with structured pay progression and shift differentials for second and third shifts. The environment supports focused, detail-oriented work in a clean and modern production setting. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Frankfort, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $42099.00 - $44907.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
