Job Description
Akkodis is seeking a 3D Imaging Scan Technician for a Contract job with a client in Louisville, KY . The ideal candidate must have experience working with 3D scanning equipment, metrology tools, and engineering measurement processes, along with strong organizational and technical skills.

Rate Range:
$25/hour to $26/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. 3D Imaging Scan Technician job responsibilities include: Perform 3D scanning and measurement activities for critical parts, components, and assemblies using metrology equipment and scanning technologies. Execute measurement work orders utilizing 3D scanners, CMMs, optical scanners, and related inspection equipment. Coordinate scanning projects, manage timelines, and communicate project status updates to engineering stakeholders. Organize, label, track, and maintain parts, fixtures, and equipment within the Central Metrology Lab. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment in support of operational excellence. Train and support engineers on 3D scanning equipment capabilities, measurement techniques, and metrology best practices. Assist in developing new fixturing methods, measurement processes, and innovative solutions to improve metrology capabilities. Collaborate with engineering teams to provide accurate dimensional data that supports product quality, troubleshooting, validation, and decision-making.Desired Qualifications:
Associate Degree required (required for future direct-hire consideration). Strong organizational, documentation, and record-keeping skills. Experience working with engineering data, technical drawings, and measurement systems. Strong computer skills with the ability to manipulate, manage, and analyze digital files and technical data. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Technically proficient with the ability to quickly learn new software applications and technologies. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.Hands-on experience with:
3D Scanning Equipment, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), Optical Metrology Systems.Knowledge of:
GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), Part Fixturing, Engineering Inspection Processes.Experience with:
