Job Description

American Howa Kentucky, Inc. is seeking a full-time Customer Quality Engineer to join our Quality team.
PURPOSE OF POSITION
Support the management and control of quality through use of quality related skills while supporting the policies and standard operation procedures of
AHK. RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible and ownership of all quality related items both internally and externally. Support quality system by adhering to AHK's plant standards and customers' requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS
Support all specific requirements of
IATF / ISO.
Knowledge of all customer portal functions Understand and promote AHK's operating philosophies Establish and maintain communication with other team members and support departments Administrative work related to maintenance and/or improvement of quality assurance system Analyze, evaluate and/or improve quality level of production process Support all necessary engineering standards and conduct related Quality paperwork and data from prototype stage to production Inspecting products and proposing countermeasures for defective products Analyze, evaluate and/or propose countermeasure for process related defects Maintain good customer relations Review and support PPAP process with follow up for part approvals Adherent to the customer requirements manuals Verify corrective actions long term Perform other duties as required (other projects or assignments requested) Travel to Customers and potentially stay extended time on short notice. Knowledge of APQP (Control Plans, D/P FMEA Flow) Conduct internal audits Review and approve data collected on check sheets Review daily scrap, defect investigation, issue Hold Tags and Quality Alerts Issue PDN's to suppliers, receive and review root cause and counter measure Maintain the Quality Hold Cage Collect data for monthly plant review charts Review and approve COA's and COC's SKILL (Ability to do the job): Ability to work in a team environment Knowledge of quality assurance analytical tools Knowledge of computer applications including Word, Excel, and Power Point Must be willing to work extended hours as needed to meet production requirements Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Strong problem solving and troubleshoot skills•5P, 5 Why, 8D, etc. Must be willing to work off site as needed•customer visits as needed Maintain customer specification by check sheets Receive and analyze customer score cards Must be able to travel to customers to deal with various issues Must be able to obtain US Passport for travel outside United States Blue Print reading and understanding
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to lift 50 pounds Able to stand for prolonged periods of time in a manufacturing environment. Specific vision abilities required include viewing raw materials and parts for color matching and depth perception. Frequent bending, stooping and stretching Ability to walk for prolonged periods of time.

EDUCATION
2-year degree from a technical college or equivalent Minimum of five years on-the-job training with industrial manufacturing facility in skilled trade capacity. This is a local hire position•relocation assistance is not provided.

Monday•Friday 8:00am•5:00pm Overtime Is Required (during the week and some weekends)
