Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that products meet rigorous quality standards through precise inspection and thorough analysis. You will play a vital part in maintaining compliance with industry regulations, such as
ISO 13485, FDA
regulations, GMP, and ISO 9001, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise in dimensional measurements, quality systems, and mechanical blueprint interpretation will help uphold our commitment to delivering top-quality products to our customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment where precision and quality are paramount. Duties Verify joint preparation, alignment, root gap, high-low, and cleanliness before welding. Confirm welders and operators are qualified to the applicable WPS and that the correct WPS is at the work station. Perform visual weld inspection to
API 1104
acceptance criteria and customer specifications: contour, undercut, reinforcement, overlap, porosity, cracks, incomplete fusion/penetration, and workmanship. Ensure welds that can affect measurement (internal root, ID grind, tap connections) do not introduce flow disturbance beyond drawing and specification limits. Verify weld maps, welder stamps, and hold-point sign-offs. Inspect meter-tube geometry against drawings and
AGA-3 / API 14.3.2
requirements, including inside diameter, out-of-round, and concentricity. Verify upstream and downstream straight-run lengths, orifice-plate or fitting location, and tap spacing. Check flange face finish, bolt-hole orientation, and gasket surfaces. Confirm straightness, squareness, and overall envelope dimensions. Check internal bore condition for smoothness, proper grind, and absence of weld protrusion, slag, or steps. Use calibrated micrometers, ID gauges, pi tapes, straightedges, levels, and CMM or laser tools as specified. Complete inspection reports, travelers, weld logs, dimensional records, and punch lists . Issue, track, and close nonconformance reports (NCRs); support root-cause analysis and corrective action.
Compile QA/QC turnover packages:
MTRs, WPS/PQR, welder qualifications, NDE reports, hydro certificates, dimensional reports, coating records, and as-built drawings. Support customer, third-party, and internal audits
Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour
