Job Description

Quality Inspector Lafayette, LA | Full-Time We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality processes, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure the highest product standards. Key Responsibilities Perform dimensional and visual inspections of incoming parts, in-process components, and final assemblies Conduct hardness testing and verify material certifications and heat codes Maintain and update calibration records for all inspection equipment Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records Identify nonconforming materials and initiate appropriate documentation and actions Support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities and verify effectiveness Collaborate with machinists, assemblers, and supervisors to resolve quality issues Comply with all health, safety, and environmental procedures Ensure adherence to the company's Quality Management System (QMS), policies, and procedures Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 6+ months of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing quality control Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Proficient with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, and indicators Basic computer skills; familiarity with quality software or databases is a plus Visual acuity testing (J2 level or better) and color contrast differentiation required Forklift experience or willingness to complete certification #IND123
