Job Description

Quality control laboratory role responsible for batch testing, raw material testing, QC documentation, sample retention, production support, and equipment monitoring. Job Requirements Previous experience as a quality technician or lab technician Experience testing materials and recording results Proficiency with math calculations used for test results Experience using multiple units of measure Experience using testing devices repeatedly and consistently Computer proficiency for recording data in spreadsheets or databases Experience running reports from electronic systems Experience counting, organizing, and maintaining documentation Experience following standard operating procedures Ability to see and interpret color Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. Ability to bend, stretch, reach, stand, walk, sit, climb, stoop, and kneel Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to complete repetitive strenuous work under varying climate conditions Ability to work in a plant environment with varying temperature and physical requirements 20/20 vision or corrected 20/20 vision Preferred Skills 3 or more years of experience in a production environment Experience with mixing or blending operations Experience making products by following prescribed formulas and procedures Experience testing raw materials, batches, and finished goods Experience using electronic QC databases Experience obtaining, labeling, storing, and shipping retain samples Experience working in a QC laboratory and plant floor environment Job Responsibilities Work in the QC laboratory and on the plant floor during assigned hours Create recommendations for batch adjustments based on inspection results and batch history Communicate batch adjustments to manufacturing operators and leadership Test incoming batches according to standard operating procedures Record incoming batch test results Approve batches for production line use Report non-conforming batches and raw materials to leadership Test incoming raw materials according to standard operating procedures Record raw material test results Obtain retain samples of batches and raw materials Store retain samples and related documentation according to procedure Send weekly retain samples to the appropriate department Report QC equipment malfunctions or low supply levels Document batch testing data in electronic QC systems Document finished goods testing data in electronic QC systems Follow safety procedures and assigned department requirements Wear required personal protective equipment for assigned areas and tasks Report safety incidents Keep work area and equipment clean Perform other assigned duties
Pay:
