Quality Technician

The Quality Technician will support the manufacturing and receiving groups ensuring that materials received and products produced meet established specifications. This position will also support other groups in the Creative Materials family as necessary. Creative Materials, Inc., located in Ayer, MA, is a custom formulator and manufacturer of inks, coatings, adhesives and encapsulants. We are a small-batch manufacturer, with a small production staff. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

The QC technician will handle the following job responsibilities: Test incoming raw materials as necessary per established material specifications and test methods. Test manufactured product at various stages of processing to ensure compliance to product specifications using established test methods and reporting requirements. Do analytical analysis as required (FTIR, TGA, etc.). Participate in problem solving/root cause analysis to reduce/eliminate product-related issues. (participate in the Corrective Action Process). Generate C of C's or C of A's as necessary. Generate and maintain quality records. Participate in weekly clean-up of work areas. Qualifications Candidates must have the following skills and qualifications. Laboratory experience or undergraduate experience in a laboratory science environment. Basic computer knowledge High school or post-secondary level math skills Attention to detail In addition, the QC technician must have the ability to read and understand instructions, accurately record data, and complete daily paperwork. Must be able to follow detailed instructions. Required to measures and weigh raw materials accurately. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
