Testing Operator

Cristek Interconnects, Inc Testing Operator North Billerica, MA Apply Working as part of the Quality Assurance team, the Testing Operator willplay a key role to ensure that cable and harness assemblies meet qualitystandards, industry regulations, customer specifications, IPC-620, J-STDand Cristek Best Practices. This role will report to the Quality &Testing Supervisor. This role is responsible for testing, and ensuringthe quality and functionality of electrical cable and wire harnessassemblies used in the aerospace industry. The Testing Operator willcollaborate with the other members of the Quality team, as well as theProduction, Sales and Engineering teams to maintain product integrityand improve processes. The ability to perform effectively in amanufacturing environment while meeting delivery schedules and customerrequirements is critical to this position. Responsibilities include butare not limited to:

• Read and comprehend, in English, the customerDrawings, Parts List, Wire List, Processes, Specifications, and assemblyRouters for step-by-step instructions on how the cable assembly wasbuilt, in order to prepare for testing.

• Testing:

  Conduct electricaland functional tests on cables and wire harness assemblies usingautomated and manual test equipment.

• Quality Control:

  Verify productintegrity by identifying defects such as open circuits, short circuits,miswires, and continuity issues.

• Troubleshooting:

  Collaborate with MRBteam to diagnose and resolve faults, following technical schematics,wiring diagrams, and testing procedures.

Equipment Operation:

Identifyand open test programs on Nexeya MPT and MK Systems test machines, andcollect test fixtures to be connected to the cable and harness assembly.

Connect test fixture to equipment and run existing test programs. o Usecontinuity testers, Fluke meters, multimeters, hi-pot testers, TDR, ESSchambers, and other electrical test devices based on customer drawingrequirements. o Ensure correct voltage is programmed prior to testing.

• Documentation:

  Maintain accurate test reports, log results, andcommunicate findings to Supervisor.

• Compliance:

  Ensure adherence toindustry standards (e.g., IPC/WHMA-A-620) and customer requirements.

• Collaboration:

  Work closely with Production, Sales and Engineering, andQuality Control personnel to enhance product quality and resolveissues.

• Troubleshooting & Recommendations:

  Identify and report alltest failures and collaborate with Sales, Engineers and Production teamsto implement corrective and preventive actions.

Compliance & Safety:

Requires adherence to safety protocols when handling electrical testingequipment. Maintain a clean and organized testing area.

WORK EXPERIENCEREQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 2 years experience in cable and wire harnesstesting and manufacturing.
• Familiarity with electrical testingequipment and troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong attention to detailand problem-solving skills.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High school diplomaor equivalent (technical certifications in testing or IPC standards area plus).
• J-STD Certification is required
