Job Description

Quality Technician - Direct Hire A growing AS9100D-certified precision manufacturing company is looking for a Quality Technician to join their team in Boylston, MA. This hands-on role focuses on ensuring complex manufactured components meet strict aerospace and medical standards through expert dimensional inspection, CMM operation, and continuous process improvement. Shift of the
Quality Technician:
Flexible start times between 5:30a-7:30am. Pay Rate of the
Quality Technician:
$27-35/hr + 3% bonus. Responsibilities of the
Quality Technician:
Perform first-piece, in-process, receiving, and final inspections for precision machined components. Operate CMM equipment Inspect parts using precision measurement tools, including micrometers, calipers, and height gages. Maintain highly accurate, traceable inspection records to comply with AS9100D quality system requirements. Identify nonconforming materials and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions. Work directly with machinists and production teams to troubleshoot issues, improve efficiency, and reduce rework. Support First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102) and assist with internal or external quality audits. Use ERP and quality management software to track data and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications of the
Quality Technician:
3+ years of quality inspection experience in a precision CNC machining or highly regulated manufacturing environment. Proven hands-on experience operating CMM equipment. Strong ability to interpret mechanical drawings, technical specifications, and GD&T (ASME Y14.5). Expertise with standard precision measurement tools and inspecting tight-tolerance features. Experience working within an
AS9100D, ISO
9001, or similar quality management system. Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection reporting is strongly preferred. Proficiency using ERP, MRP, or quality management software to retrieve and organize data. Background in aerospace, defense, or medical device manufacturing is a plus.
