We aim to fix this by automating processes like quoting, scheduling, order entry, CAM and using the latest manufacturing equipment that helps minimize labor.

Job Summary:

The Inspection & Finishing Technician is responsible for final part inspection, Inspection verification, generation of inspection documentation, cosmetic finishing, cleaning, and preparation of parts for shipment. This role serves as the final quality gate before parts are delivered to customers and is responsible for preventing escaped defects. Key Responsibilities Inspection & Quality ? Perform dimensional inspection of machined parts to engineering drawings ? Generate inspection reports and First Article Inspection (FAI) packages ? Create bubble drawings and inspection plans ? Verify critical features and tolerances ? Perform receiving inspection on outside-processed parts ? Log all nonconforming parts into the NMR system ? Support root cause investigations and corrective actions Finishing ? Deburr and edge-break machined parts ? Clean parts using approved cleaning methods ? Perform cosmetic inspection (scratches, dents, anodize defects, etc.) ? Prepare parts for outside processing (labeling, packaging) Packaging & Shipping Support ? Verify part number, revision, and quantity ? Package parts per customer and ProtoXYZ requirements ? Assist logistics with shipment preparation ? Ensure inspection reports and certifications are included

Quality Purpose:

Ensure all parts meet drawing requirements, cosmetic standards, and documentation requirements before shipment. Prevent defective or nonconforming product from reaching the customer. Quality Accountability ? Owns final inspection approval prior to shipment ? Owns inspection report accuracy and completeness ? Owns cosmetic quality of shipped parts ? Owns NMR generation for any nonconforming product ? Has authority to stop shipment of any suspect parts Knowledge and Skills ? Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings ? Understanding of GD&T (position, flatness, profile, etc.) ?

Experience using inspection tools:

• Calipers
• Micrometers
• Height gauges
• Pin gauges ?

Strong attention to detail ? Comfortable working with small precision parts ? Basic computer skills (Excel, PDF, file management)

Preferred:

? CMM experience ? First Article Inspection experience (AS9102 style) ? Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience

Salary Range:
