Job Description Entry-level, no experience required! IPG Photonics is the leading developer and manufacturer of high-performance fiber lasers and amplifiers and is hiring a Quality Inspector to join our team! Are you a detail-orientated team player, with a strong eye for detail who wants to learn new skills and break into a clean room environment? Do you enjoy working on a team with clear objectives? Are you focused, independent and reliable person who takes pride in their work with good attention to detail? If so, you may be a great fit for our inspection position! As a process inspector at IPG, you will join the team responsible for producing our world-class semiconductor lasers in a class 1000 clean room. We are looking for a responsible Quality Inspector to check the quality of all incoming and outgoing material and products. You will be a firm advocate of quality in our business. You will have the opportunity to receive training from highly experienced engineers and learn many exciting, new and transferable skills. By following our standard operating procedures for wafer fabrication, you will learn how take a semiconductor wafer into a working laser chip. Following established standard operating and safety procedures. Inspecting and approving incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials. Documenting inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into quality database. Approving finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-workRequirements:
Must have the ability to understand and follow verbal and written work instructions. Comfortable working with fragile parts and semiconductor processing equipment. Regular and reliable attendance and the ability to work overtime. Must be present and on time for work as scheduled. Be able to work carefully, consistently and be able to identify errors. Have the drive and capability to be cross-trained. Basic computer skillsShift Available:
8:30a-5 pm and can extend to 7 pm. Overtime is available and occasional Saturday flexibility is required. Requirements Entry-level, no experience required!
