Jobs › Pittsfield, MA › Quality Inspector Spectrum Plastics Group Quality Inspector Pittsfield, MA Apply Job Purpose Responsible for performing inspections of incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished products to ensure conformance to specifications, standards and regulatory requirements. Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect parts, components and products using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMMs (as applicable).
- Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections based on control plans, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Accurately document inspection results, including non-conformances, in inspection logs or quality databases
- Support root cause investigations and corrective actions for quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with GDP (Good Documentation Practices) and safety policies
- Participate in audits, calibration activities, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Communicate quality concerns clearly to production, engineering, and quality leadership
- Maintain a clean and organized inspection area and follow 5S principles Skills / Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or coursework in quality or metrology preferred
- 1-3 years of inspection or quality experience in a manufacturing or regulated environment (medical device, aerospace, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
- Basic knowledge of GD&T and inspection techniques
- Familiarity with statistical tools, SPC, and quality systems (e.g., ISO 13485) is a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and quality software tools (e.g., ERP systems like IQMS, etc.) Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

- Requires frequent bending, squatting, and twisting motions
