Second Shift Mechanical Inspector
  • CMM•$27-33/HR + Shift Diff Reading, MA Full-TimeOn-Site$30•$36 /hr Posted March 11, 2026 Second Shift Mechanical Inspector•CMM $27-33/HR + Shift Differential Reading, Ma We're looking for a reliable 2nd Shift Mechanical Inspector who isn't afraid to get their hands on the parts and keep the line moving.
Your main job is to catch the defects before they leave the floor. You'll be responsible for making sure every component that comes across your station is up to spec and built right. If you've got a sharp eye for detail, know your way around a CMM, and take pride in sending out quality work while following the safety rules, you'll fit right in. Key Responsibilities Conduct visual and physical inspections of mechanical components and assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications. Utilize measurement tools to assess the dimensions and tolerances of parts and assemblies. Review technical documentation and blueprints to verify conformance to design specifications. Document inspection results and communicate findings to engineering and production teams. Identify and report any defects or issues, proposing solutions to improve quality and efficiency. Maintain compliance with ISO standards and internal quality control procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and ensure adherence to safety standards. Qualifications Proven experience in mechanical inspection or quality control roles. Strong knowledge of inspection techniques and measurement tools. Familiarity with blueprint reading and technical documentation. Understanding of ISO standards and quality assurance principles. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
